If someone at home dials 911, the people who love them know.

The moment 911 is dialed, Kafono tells the people you choose: who called, from where, and the number to call back. By text, a call, email or the app, even if the call never connects.

  • 4ways to reach each person
  • 25people at most
  • 0words of the call in any alert

Everything they need, nothing they don’t.

Each alert carries the same few facts, so whoever reads it knows what to do next.

  1. 1That 911 was dialed

Sent as the call starts, before anyone answers.

  2. 2Which phone, and when

The line or extension that called, in your home’s time.

  3. 3Where help was sent

The address on file with 911 for that phone.

  4. 4The number to call back

So they can reach home, or the dispatcher can reach them.

Choose who’s told, and how

Family nearby, a son across the country, the neighbor with a key. Each gets the alert their way.

  • Text, call, email or the app

A phone call reads the alert twice, so it isn’t missed.

  • A second alert when it ends

Know the call is over and how long it lasted.

  • Send a test

Check each person gets it, without anyone dialing 911.

Adding a 911 alert recipient: their name, email and number, reached by email, text and a call

Help knows where to go

Every Kafono phone keeps its address on file with 911, and a dispatcher sees it the moment you call.

  • Your address, checked

A new address is reviewed before 911 starts using it.

  • They can call you back

Quiet time and do not disturb pause for an hour after 911 is dialed.

  • Every line covered

One address for the house, or one per line.

At work too, the front desk knows.

A business can tell the front desk, the office manager or a building’s security desk whenever someone dials 911 from any of its phones, with the location sent to 911.

Questions about 911 alerts.

When does the alert go out?
The moment 911 is dialed, not when the call is answered, so a call that never connects still sends it. You can ask for a second alert when the call ends.
Who can I add?
Anyone with a phone or an email address: family, a neighbor, a caregiver. Up to 25 people, each told the ways you choose.
How are they told?
By a text, a phone call that reads the alert twice, or an email, and in the Kafono app for people on your account. Pick one or all of them for each person.
Does the alert say what was said on the call?
Never. It says that 911 was dialed, from which phone, the address sent to 911, the number to call back and the time.
Can we try it without calling 911?
Yes. Send each person a test. It says plainly that it’s a test and nobody dialed 911. Please never call 911 to test it.
Does it cover calls from my cell phone?
It covers 911 calls from your Kafono phones. A cell phone’s own 911 calls go through your mobile carrier.

Someone will always know.

Add the people to tell when you sign up, and send each of them a test.
