Fewer trips to the phone.
More cars out the door.

The counter is busy and the techs are under cars. Ring the counter first and the shop after, page the bays, text customers a photo and a price, and call back the ones who couldn’t wait.

The counter.

Calls ring the counter first. If nobody picks up, the phones in the shop ring too, and after hours callers hear your hours and leave a message, written out and emailed.

The bays.

Park the caller on 701, dial the bays’ code and say “Mike, 701.” Mike picks up from the nearest phone by dialing 701. Nobody walks to the counter.

The Algo 8186 IP horn speaker

A horn over the bays. The Algo 8186 is rated for outdoors and wet places, loud enough for an air wrench, and powered over its network cable. It answers a page by itself.

The customer.

Text from the shop’s own number. Send a photo of the worn part and a price, and they reply to approve. Their calls and texts sit together in one thread, so whoever picks it up knows the story.

The callbacks.

When everyone’s under a car, callers press a key to leave their number instead of holding. The request waits for whoever’s free, and Take calls them back.

Callbacks

Questions from auto shops.

Can we page through a speaker in the shop?
Yes. Paging speakers that sign in as a phone join a paging group with your desk phones, and anyone can page with a code.
How does a tech pick up a call from the bays?
Park the caller on a slot, page the tech, and they dial the slot from the nearest phone to pick up.
Can customers text us back?
Yes. Texts to the shop’s number come to the whole team, with their calls in the same thread, and you reply from the web or the app.
Which phones hold up in a shop?
Cordless DECT handsets move with the techs, and desk phones suit the counter. Add them at checkout.
What happens when we miss a call?
Call history lists the callers you missed and haven’t called back yet, and callers can leave their number on a callback list instead of holding.

Bring the number your customers know.

Check that it can come to Kafono, and we’ll plan the counter, the bays and the speakers with you.
