What do I need?

Keep the phones you have. They just plug in.

Your phones plug into the Kafono adapter, and the adapter into your internet router.

Phone in one side, router on the other. Try it.

Dial tone. Pick up the kitchen phone and it works the way it always has.

How do I switch?

Your old service keeps working until the day we tell you.

  1. Check your numberYou’ll know it can come before you pay anything.
  2. Plug in the adapterIt arrives by mail. Phone in one side, router on the other.
  3. We move your numberMost of it is ours to do, and a home landline commonly takes a week or two. Please don’t cancel your old service first: cancelling can lose the number.

Questions from homes like yours.

Can I keep my phone number?
Usually, yes. Type it into the number check and you’ll know before you pay. We do the moving, and your old service keeps working until it’s done.
Will the phones I already have work?
Yes. Most home phones, cordless ones too, plug into the Kafono adapter. If you’d rather have new ones, add a cordless set at checkout.
Do I need the internet?
Yes. Kafono calls travel over your home internet, and the app works over Wi‑Fi or mobile data.
What if the power goes out?
Internet phone service needs power for the router and the Kafono adapter. A battery backup keeps calls working through short outages, and a charged cell phone covers the rest.
What about 911?
Every line keeps the address you give at checkout, and a 911 call sends it, so help knows where to go.
Can I stop the spam calls?
Turn on call screening and unknown callers have to press 1 before your phones ring. You can also have callers say their name, and block any number for good.

Bring the house number with you.

Check it now. You’ll know it can come before you pay anything, and we handle the rest.
