Phones for law firms that never miss an intake call.

A missed call can be a client who signs with the next firm. Route callers to intake or their attorney, keep notes and summaries of the calls that matter, and catch the ones that come after hours.

A lawyer on a call at his desk, taking notes

Where the calls slip away today.

  • Intake calls during court

The attorney who would answer is in a hearing, and the caller moves down their list.

  • Notes in one person’s head

What a client said on Tuesday’s call lives in someone’s memory, or a sticky note.

  • After-hours calls from people in trouble

People call when something happens, not at nine on a weekday.

A day of calls, handled

The same phones, the same number. What changes is where each call goes.

  • 8:30 amThe day starts

The menu sends new clients to intake and existing clients to their attorney’s extension.

  • 11:00 amIn court

Attorneys’ calls ring in the app, or go to a colleague, a queue or voicemail written out, as they choose.

  • 3:00 pmCalls that matter

Record a call, add notes the whole team can read, and get a transcript with the summary, the follow-up and what was promised.

  • 7:00 pmAfter hours

The receptionist answers, takes the caller’s details and what happened, and sends intake a summary for the morning.

How we’d set it up

Every office is different, so we plan this with you before the move.

  • Phone menus

“Press 1 for sales.” Callers pick where to go, or dial a person’s extension.

  • Call queues

Callers wait in line for the next free person, and can ask for a callback instead.

  • Call recording

Record calls by rule or on demand, choose who can listen, and play them back from call history.

Questions from law firms.

Can we record calls?
Yes, on demand, for the people an owner allows. Some places require everyone on a call to agree to recording, so check the rules that apply to you.
Who can see recordings and notes?
They live in your account’s call history. Owners and admins decide who can record, and notes are shared with the people who can open the call.
Can attorneys use their cell phones?
Yes. The app rings with the firm’s number and calls out show it too.

Bring the number your customers know.

Check that it can come to Kafono, and we’ll plan the rest with you.
