Phones for banks and credit unions that members can count on.

Lost cards, payments and “what are your branch hours?” all arrive on one number. Send each to the team that handles it, keep members informed while they wait, and know what every call was about.

Where the calls slip away today.

  • Every call starts at the front

A lost card and a mortgage question wait in the same line, and tellers transfer calls all day.

  • Long holds at the first of the month

Payment questions pile up on the same days, and members hang up before anyone answers.

  • No record of what was promised

When a member calls back, nobody knows what they were told last time.

A day of calls, handled

The same phones, the same number. What changes is where each call goes.

  • 9:00 amDoors open

The menu sends card, payment and member calls to their own queues, and each branch line goes straight to its branch.

  • 11:30 amThe lunchtime rush

Members wait in their queue with your hold music, or ask for a callback instead of holding.

  • 2:00 pmA disputed charge

The call is recorded and transcribed, so the summary, the follow-up and what was promised are on the member’s call for whoever helps next.

  • 6:00 pmAfter close

Callers hear your hours and leave a message in the member services mailbox, written out for the morning.

How we’d set it up

Every office is different, so we plan this with you before the move.

  • Phone menus

“Press 1 for sales.” Callers pick where to go, or dial a person’s extension.

  • Call queues

Callers wait in line for the next free person, and can ask for a callback instead.

  • Callbacks

Callers ask for a callback instead of holding, and keep their place in line.

Questions from banks and credit unions.

Can each branch keep its own number?
Yes. Each branch line can ring its own team, follow its own hours and fall back to member services.
What happens to card numbers said on a call?
Transcripts replace the card numbers, expiry dates and security codes they detect before anything is stored. Detection can miss one, so treat it as a safety net.
Can we see how our queues are doing?
Yes. Insights shows each queue’s callers, the share answered within your goal, the average wait and who hung up.

Bring the number your customers know.

Check that it can come to Kafono, and we’ll plan the rest with you.
